- High Dynamic Range images
Except for JPEG-HDR, these formats require a special HDR viewer. The JPEG-HDR will display with any software that understands JPEG format. The result will then be a tonemapped LDR image. -

False colour image (JPEG, 940x640, 143.68 kB)
As of version 3.8 (released in October 2006), RADIANCE has a new colour scale for false colour images. This makes the interpretation of the different tones easier. - Interactive luminance map (HTML page)
Requires a recent web browser with JavaScript enabled. - Heat map
This heat map shows pixels for which the photometric information is unreliable.
Red pixels are likely to have a luminance that is higher than indicated. If you need accurate photometric information for those parts of the image, you should re-shoot your exposure-bracketed sequence with shorter exposure times.
Likewise, if there are any blue areas on the heat map, the corresponding pixel luminance values are likely to be lower than the HDR image suggests. Re-shoot with longer exposure times. - Response curve
The graph on the right is a plot of the photometric response curve which hdrgen recovered from your image sequence. The red, green, and blue channels are plotted separately. The curves should be monotonically rising from the bottom-lefthand corner (0,0) to the top-righthand one (1,1). Occasionally, the curves can be rather wobbly, going down as well as up. This indicates that the RSP function is not good, possibly because the image registration failed, or due to very saturated colours. - Coefficients of camera response curve (text
file)
You might want to download and keep this file for later re-use with WebHDR. It may also assist you in the creation of HDR images for difficult scenes that would otherwise fail. Please be aware that seperate RSP files are required for different cameras and white balances. You should rename this file to something sensible, e.g. nikon_995_tungsten.rsp, so you know what it is for.
NO RESPOSIBILITY IS TAKEN FOR THE ACCURACY OF THE RESULTS.
